>Korea: Cherry Blossoms

You’ve read the title so you know exactly what is to come… the typical spring post from Asia on Cherry blossoms! I don’t think my blog would be complete without it. I saw my first cherry blossoms on a walk home from work last week and had to take a few snaps.

Spring in Korea literally happened over night. One day I looked to the left and saw dead grass… looked to the right and saw dead looking trees. NOW… well it is a totally different story. There is green grass and those dead looking trees are filled with green buds and blooms.

The weekend flew by… but the time was spent well… running, eating, socializing, hiking and… going for a nice walk at the Yeouido Cherry Blossom festival… with approximately 20 000 people (who clearly had the same idea). It was beautiful, but there were a lot of people. It felt quite similar to Canada day fireworks on parliament hill… except change-up parliament fireworks with a few hundred flowering trees.

I think I have gotten a good dose of cherry blossoms for the next little while. But who knows what else might start blooming in a few days.

Much Love,

Anna xoxo
