Chocolate Chip Cookies

I have been blogging for over a year and have been avoiding the classic recipe of chocolate chip cookies. Why? Well because EVERYONE that has two hands can make and eat these cookies…Gosh, maybe you only need one hand!

It is a big standard to live up to… providing a GOOD chocolate chip cookie recipe. I also wanted to wait for the right time to make and blog about this well loved recipe… and now couldn’t be a better time because of my return from Ottawa… I have great friends in Ottawa and they are well loved by me!

Well loved friends, please make these cookies! And play make-believe like I am lying on your kitchen floor awaiting the warm gooey sensational treats to emerge from the oven…

This is a good time to add that if you have access to good quality chocolate, it is best to chop it up and use it in this recipe rather than using chocolate chips, it gives these cookies that extra chocolate boost they deserve.

I gave in and used milk chocolate chips because of my limited budget but was able to find the cash to grab a block of Swiss semi-sweet chocolate… no complaints on this end!

This post is dedicated to all my friends in Ottawa that made my short and sweet trip the sweetest trip I could have asked for! All of you mean so much to me! Keep on being awesome!
